Worming
The practice recommends that you worm your pet on a regular basis from two weeks of age even if you don’t see any signs of worms. This is important not only to protect your pet from worm infestation but also from a public health point of view. Toxocara eggs can be picked up by young children playing in the park and garden, which can lead to serious health problems.
We recommend that puppies are wormed at 2wks, 6wks, 8wks, 12wks of age and then every month until they are 6 months old. From 6 months old we recommend worming every 3-6 months.
We recommend worming kittens at 2wks, 5wks, 8wks and 12wks of age and then every 1-3 months depending on how much they hunt.
The veterinary nurse will be happy to give your pet a weight check, advise and administer the necessary wormer.
