The Practice

Lamond Veterinary Clinic has four veterinary surgeons who are solely involved in small animal companion animal veterinary work. The two partners, Bill Taylor and Harry Haworth, have been with the practice since 1975 and 1980 respectively.

The veterinary staff have a broad sense of experience and interests, covering all aspects of companion animal practice. The practice employs several full time, qualified nurses whose range of duties include assisting the veterinary surgeons, general nursing, nursing consultations and care of inpatients.

The practice also has 2 full time receptionists whose duties are to answer phones promptly and and ensure your appointments are made.

In order for the practice to maintain and improve the level of health care every member of staff undertakes continuous professional training annually.

The practice nursing staff are experienced to offer a wide range of pet care topics - this service is available to our clients and a small charge may apply on some of the services offered. Some examples of the nursing consultations offered are: puppy and kitten talks, five month checkups, weight clinics, post operative wound checks, post operative suture removal, worm and flea advice, administering worm and flea treatments, tick removal, bandage/dressing changes, nail clipping and anal gland expression.

The nurses also run a puppy socialisation class every Tuesday evening from 7pm for approximately 30 minutes.
