Bill Taylor (Partner)
Bill graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary studies in Edinburgh in 1972 and after spells in small animal hospitals in Birmingham and Teeside came back to his local practice in January 1975. Lamond Ross and Brown, as the partnership was known at the time, was a thriving mixed (both large and small animal) practice with a rapidly expanding small animal component, mainly as a result of the development of Livingston. In 1984 Bill became a partner.
Bill has no specialist interests, but instead enjoys all aspects of canine and feline medicine and surgery. He is married with two sons, a daughter and a grandson and lives on a farm just outside Livingston, where his wife and daughter run a horse livery business. In his spare time one of his main interests is hill walking. He has completed all the Munro and Munro Tops and is currently working his way through the Corbetts and Donalds. He also enjoys music, playing the trumpet and piano, the former considerably better than the latter! A vet would not be a vet without his own animals, and Bill has 7 cats (all moggies - waifs and strays) and a lovely Border Terrier bitch called Georgie, and an ex-stray dog called Clifford. He is also surrounded by his daughter's numerous horses, a llama, 4 sheep and many chickens!
